Vera Latimer
Cert Social Services, Cert First Line Management
Vera was born in Ireland and her professional background has been in the Health and Social Care Sector. Vera has extensive experience at management level, working within Local Authorities Local Community Sectors both in Ireland and UK. Part of Vera's career has also been in managing and developing services for client groups most distanced and marginalised from mainstream service provision. These environments have included Supported Living, Supported Employment and Acquired Brain Injury.
Vera's professional qualifications include a CSS, and a DIM, and she has a great interest in progressing staff development, and in ensuring the delivery of quality services to St Mary's student cohort.
As Head Facilitator, Vera is responsible for all aspects of College Residential provision, ensuring the effective delivery of the waking curriculum across all College Living Houses.
Vera is motivated by challenge and diversity, and enjoys great job satisfaction from supporting staff teams in developing our students' potential to move on and enjoy a fulfilled life within the wider community.
Living in Bexhill offers Vera a range of leisure pursuits within a lovely sunny climate, with beach and woodland walks for her dogs.
Vera thoroughly enjoys working for St Mary's Wrestwood Children's Trust.
